A New Way to Wind Down

As you might know, if you’ve read some previous posts, I currently work in a pub as both a chef and as front of house staff and I’ve just finished a long, long day. I’ve been on my feet for 13 hours and I’ve got 3 nice long 15 hour days to look forward to with college and work – something has to give soon and I can see college slipping away.

It’s not all bad though as I’ve just been signed off on my NVQ level 1 and I can do the level 2 in work (along with the trainee manager stuff) – I just need to get my college file verified by an assessor, who will hopefully not find any problems.

A quick note on the online stuff: My main site, in terms of earnings, has slipped in the search engines over the past few days and, of course so has its income (I’ve got to stop relying on Adsense so much, but I can’t find a decent alternative that pays as much) but I simply haven’t got the time to fix the problem at the moment – So little time and I’m only averaging 6 hours sleep a night.

Anyway back to real life now for just a moment – I’ve got a real problem with winding down after work. Even after a nasty 15 hour day I can’t come home and just simply go to bed – my mind just wanders to random, useless stuff and I can’t sleep. I find I need an average of about an hour and a half to wind down, but Im usually so tired that I can’t do anything useful (apart from blab here!!), but tonight I had a song I heard on the radio in work and it’s been playing in my head over and over again and I’ve found a nice chilled version that seems to be doing the trick. So for those of you who have trouble sleeping, here’s Gnarls….
